One of my proudest achievements is the creation of DOOP (Day Of Operations), a real-time Digital Twin ecosystem for the $12B Central Queensland bulk resources supply chain integrating Mine loadouts, Rail, terminal, utilities, stockpiling, mobile fleet, shipping, and Vessel Traffic Services.

This system, recognized by Gartner and Microsoft, provides data-rich visualizations and automated decision support for logistics and commercial management, supporting over 600 users across 40 businesses.

The impact : system capability lifted 10% above design rate, operational costs reduced by $7M annually, and efficiency gains generating over $20M in additional revenue each year.

  • I designed database structures to match the business.

  • Developed 4000+ business rules applied across the 5 layer Tech stack, within the Service Fabric and in reusable DTOs.

  • Developed containerised structure for business logic to account for the multi layered 75000 annual transactions worth $12B.

  • Implemented and supported and replaced critical operational apps and delivered error free transactions over 7+ years for $85B+ in product.

  • Provided live interaction for 600+ users for 40 stakeholders groups across 60 roles with real time delegation and approvals to facilitate 24/7/365 operations.

Complex Cargo Plans / Load Plans Blending

Designing, Building & Implementing software that drives complicated business processes like the vessel and cargo loading plan which contains over 800 business rules, has 11 stakeholders involved, was a challenging and rewarding process.

The analysis and design took myself and 2 team members 9 months to achieve a fully integrated application replacing around 80 systems and eliminating 50,000+ pieces of paper a month.

The key outcome was a significant change in ownership to all cargo agents on each vessel now able to see all their respective cargos with commercials kept secret while making transparency that drives truth and efficiency in planning.
